I have a question.

This group looked to be the best place because it involves the IRS. I phoned their number and could not get to a real person to ask.

I just took a call that came up Blue Dolphin on the ID. A computerized voice said the IRS was filing a complaint against me and to call a number they gave. This doesn't sound legit to me. I'm retired and don't have any money. I've been disabled since 2005.

Is this a phishing call do you think? Oh, I just had a birthday which might have something to do with why I got this call..possibly.

I hope it's ok to ask this here, if not could you direct me?

Just ignore them. Many of us have gotten these calls - the caller wants you to send them money, or else they say you will be arrested. IRS does not work that way. Just google IRS phone scam for more stories.
Scam. Don't worry about it.

going on with people claiming to be the IRS. The IRS sends letters does not make phone calls

I didn't think the IRS would make a call like that, it seems they would have sent certified mail. I knew it didn't make any sense, so I came here where I know I can get good answers..
