You can imagine the chances of his Yang-esque - and very common-sense - proposal getting through Bitch Mitchy or a Cheeto veto!
God Himself couldn't make those miscreants to line up behind something like this.
Unless, of course, it went to Big Awl or Wall Street. Then it would be in the trillions.

(21,664 posts)In other countries where quarantines are being enacted on at least some of the population, for the most part take care to enact supply and or price control regulations as well - to prevent price gouging, hoarding, etc.
But here? And with Orange Amin in power?
They'd rather let everything fall apart than enact even the slightest curbs on corporate greed.

(5,256 posts)And I believe grocery stores and pharmacies are going to keep functioning, along with restaurants for takeout.
That reminds me that someone - obviously some Democrat (or heck, maybe Mitt!) - needs to propose relief for mortgage payments and rent payments. Joe Biden (not surprisingly) mentioned these critical measures in the debate last night.

Every dollar spent drives our economic engine, regardless of where it came from or how it's spent.
