Humans can afford to be less than conscious because we're at the top of the food chain.

Except that earth is the top of the food chain.

I was on a walk to a part of my property which has huge redwoods. Some are 8 feet in diameter. For some reason no one ever cut them. I both enjoy, and feel frustration, that people aren't conscious of the value of beauty, let alone carbon oxygen respiration of forests. So, I tromped back in here with mud, and decided to post this silly post. I think it has consequences on whether or not one realizes the importance of politics. Because I've envisioned someone like Trump deciding that every forest was a business opportunity. Basically, every resource would be an opportunity. Humans, they just do the work. Now to the trees.
