(1,965 posts)In High School, in 79 or 80, we were told that at the then current rate of pollution, by the year 2100 we would see what we're seeing now. It was a hoax then too.
For the hoax remark, just in case.

(13,485 posts)But for all the posts and discussions concerning it I have kept it to one remark or post on the subject due to the stigma I've gained as a doomsday thinker. I just tell it as I research it. The last figures I've read from science studies is that we are in the 7 to 10 year range for catastrophic release but it could push out to 20.
Face it, there aren't that many people who want to think about it and calling people like me a ct vendor is a good way to hide from it. I dont blame them.
It plays well for the dominionists who want an armageddon and the oligarchs who want to gather as much as they can and build their safety bubble. Only problem is that they will both annihilate each other.
Nice to communicate with you all. Live well, enjoy life and fight for healing the planet and humanity as if we have plenty of time to fix it. Maybe we do.
