February 2 (Renewables Now)
US home improvement retailer Home Depot Inc (NYSE:HD) said on Thursday it will start offering Tesla Inc's (NASDAQ:TSLA) residential solar and battery products.
The company added that the move is in line with an effort to bring energy independence to its customers. It will be selling the Tesla products in stores and online.
Bloomberg reported that Tesla selling areas will be set up at 800 Home Depot sites during the first half of 2018. According to a person with knowledge of the situation cited by the news agency, Home Depot could also offer Tesla's solar roof at some stage.
