We're slowly depleting our own species. It would only take a few centuries until the Earth's natural resources are totally depleted.

The earth may recover and probably will. Bad news... we won't be here. But that's good news for the planet because having destroyed ourselves we will no longer be here to mess it up and the earth will proceed as if we had never existed.
