Rio 20: Agreement reached, say diplomats

Negotiators have reached agreement on a text that will be submitted for approval to world leaders when they meet for the Rio summit this week.

The Rio+20 meeting comes 20 years after the Earth Summit, also held in the Brazilian city.

An unnamed diplomat told the AFP news agency that a text "was adopted and it will be endorsed by the heads of state and government".

We don't want those nasty environmentalists to take away the GAWD-GIVEN RIGHT
to cheap petrol, shale gas, tar sands or open cast coal mining after all ...
