just a quick hello and then I have to get some job hunting done.

I have been working doing Environmental Regulations for 8 years. Am recently unemployed as the company I worked for lost several contracts. Things are slow in Ca--but I am not giving up hope. It will be fun to talk to people and stay up-to-date on things so that I don't waste away mentally while I am out of work!

can give me some moral support so I don't get too depressed. Things are VERY slow here right now. But I am told that after the holidays it may pick up.

Today I am going out to try to pick up a temp holiday job--we'll see. I haven't had a lot of interest so far.

Congratulations!

I have been out of work awhile--because my firm thought they would get through the crisis and be able to hire me back. So I kept waiting on them--and then finally found out it wasn't going to happen. Also--I have been hoping for something to open up with the State Agency--and they have had hiring freezes.

However--I have heard that after January things may look up!

but we have had a lot of economic ups and downs lately. Pretty sure things will be on track quickly now with Governor Brown and President Obama! Thanks for the welcome!
