Why does law enforcement lie?

In their arguments against legalizing hemp as a crop for the USA they claim that marijuana growers would hide their plants in the fields.
That law enforcement would "have a hard time telling them apart".

Nonsense...no recreational/medicinal marijuana grower would want their plants anywhere near a hemp field for fear of ruining the flowers with pollen.

In fact a case could be argued that hemp is an "anti-marijuana" crop due to it's potential to pollinate and therefore seed the developing flowers halting their growth.

back when I used to plant seeds I would have gotten as far from a hemp plant as I could get to keep exactly what you're saying from happening.
Its been 30 plus years since I buried a seed

While not exactly on point here...it is the basis of all of the "you will respect my authority" crap you see on YouTube and elsewhere.
