(26,757 posts)The linked piece is predicated on this continuing fantasy that the cores are out of all containment and still molten. Still burning their way down to the water table ready to spark a cataclysmic explosion and massive amounts of new radiation.
They're just plain nuts and immune to correction. They see a nighttime video of a work light partially occluded by fog rolling in and the internet is filled it pronouncements that "Fukushima is on Fire!". They see fuzzy before/after photos of wreckage cut neatly away from the wreckage of unit #4 and they proclaim that an entire side of the building has collapsed; spilling the spent fuel to the ground (exposing several workers to fatal doses of radiation in the process) and a fuel fire will shortly make half of Japan uninhabitable.
