Always enjoyable and as important today as it was way back when, except that back then they were still building nuke plants and today we aren't likely to see them built, not big ones anyway.

Funny side note: He said "Nucular", not "Nuclear", a common mispronunciation.

Also, the facts of how we store power plant waste is actually testimony to how careful we are, too careful some might say.

We were looking at Yucca Mountain, but then concerns about seismic activity and the dangers of transporting put that all on hold, maybe forever.

So, the waste from power plants is kept onsite, in pools at each of the facilities until we figure out what to do with it.

Which might be never!

Yeah, that's not careful in my book. And I don't think the people from Fukushima would think anyone is too careful when you can't get rid of the waste.

Glad you liked it. I didn't catch the pronunciation. It is common. I believe bush says it wrong.

The nuclear energy companies are pushing for the resurgence of using this power now that so many plants are closing due to age. It's cheaper for them than renewable.

I thought of this because of a post in GD touting the wonderful benefits of nuclear plants.

Still, point being it's funny
