I just got called on a Gallup poll about the Canada/Us pipeline.

The questions were lengthy and it was not until 2/3 of the way in that they focused on the pipeline.
A lot of the questions were about one's belief about the environment, various forms of energy,
and
about how good a job Pres. Obama and Congress is doing in terms of economy and environment.
So someone clearly thinks public opinion is important about that damn pipeline.

Several of the questions were so slanted that I refused to answer them;
the poll taker does not tell you there is an option for refused to answer, but there is one.
Keep in mind that any telephone survey has an option to refuse to answer some questions.
I always refuse to give a specific age ( but will answer an age range)
and will not give my income.

"Several of the questions were so slanted that I refused to answer them"

Luckily I live in a college town, so half the polls I get called for are from people learning to make polls, and they actually listen. But if you start commenting on the quality of the question, with each question, with every poll, you will end up having better experiences.

I'm curious how they are trying to manipulate reported opinion...
