Individual Carbon Tax?

Has anyone proposed an individual carbon tax? I know there is talk about corporate carbon tax, but what about on the individual level.

I think we need to look at how much each person drives a car and uses air travel.

I would love some feedback on this. Thanks!

Ever heard of a fuel tax? You pay it every time you fill up the tank on your car. Airlines are also taxed on fuel used, which is passed onto the flying customers.

And electricity has an excise tax on it.

Its paid by the power company, but ultimately the consumer is paying it.
