I do a lot of work with rescue and rehab.

Unfortunately, things do not always work out the way we hope/plan. Even with what we see as "perfect" matches, bad things can happen.

A Mastiff with a history of biting, unpredictable traits, etc., is an invitation to disaster.

Hopefully, things will work out for this dog.

Maybe I should have explained myself in that first reply. I am trying to feel my way around this place and, evidently, I need to take a more roundabout approach.

I am as good with Working Breeds as anyone I know, but there is no way I would adopt a dog with that resume'.

Maybe the dog could go to a ranch, or some property with wide-open spaces.

An out-of-control dog of that size is a nightmare that rarely goes away. Mastiff's are extraordinarily sensitive and, once in motion, are very difficult to contain.

That said, you're not as good as you think you are, subjectively proven by your last paragraph.

What do you mean?

Have you ever dealt with a dog of that size/strength?

They will f##k you up in a heart-beat.

I would rather deal with a nervous quarterhorse than a crazy Mastiff.

I apologize that real life and my rescue drew me away from your "challenge" but since I care little for links of what one has done I'd just rather save a dog. I try not to do pissing contests. It berates folks looking for rank amongst what they do against others on the same team. Quite stupid, loaded in ego and not helping animals.

So...airfare is on you, right? An "un-hinged mastiff" isn't a living nightmare, he or she is a dog, and the mastiff is far more forgiving than 80% of any animal sight unseen.

So yeah, pony up "I know animals" and deliver.

And for the record, I've taken in the worst and churned out the best. For having me in one piece, I've taken in dogs you'd never approach. Dogs you'd just ignore, without caution, or whimpered away from because they weren't convenient.
