'This is a global migration crisis'

The British and French governments have warned that the world is facing a “global migration crisis”.

In a dramatic joint intervention, Theresa May, the Home Secretary, and her French counterpart, Bernard Cazeneuve, call on countries across Europe and Africa to help solve the emergency caused by thousands of migrants congregating at their border.

Writing in the Telegraph, they warn would-be immigrants planning to make the “desperate” journey in search of a better life that Britain’s streets “are not paved with gold”.

As a first step to make Britain less attractive, the Home Office announced plans to cut the weekly cash allowances that support thousands of failed asylum seekers with families.

Don't want to let "Those Starving, Impoverished People" think there's HOPE here in the UK! Just because they think we have some "Guilt" because we had "Skin in the Game" in our participation of bringing "Freedom & Democracy" to them! GASP!

Fact Is.."Freedom & Democracy" just didn't stick with those people because they just Never Learn. They've been killing themselves for thousands of years, in fact!

WHAT? They Think that We Freed Them so they Could Come Here and Take our Jobs Expecting a Hand OUT? It Boggles the Mind that they could think that! It was THEIR JOB to Secure their Country!

What more could We Do? We gave them EVERYTHING! And....[bThey Abused it.

Apologize, for my illiterate sounding comment. I couldn't help myself...need better restraint.

Sometimes it just gets to be too much.....

I would not be surprised to hear they are all terrorists before this is done.

And then there is all the rhetorical bullshit about free trade, open borders, economic opportunities, and the glory of being European, which turns out to only be marketing slogans where these guys are concerned.

And commit inadequate resources to creating a workable alternative to the states you destroy. You get refugees and terrorists.

Not like the British and French haven't been around long enough to understand this.

What shape it will have remains to be seen, but you can see where it's heading. You can stall with balls out hydrocarbon economics for a while, but that just turns up the heat on the planet. And it's a remarkable crop of buffoons we have running the planet too. Most of the political systems are so corrupted they are incapable of effective action even on their own domestic problems. And meanwhile we have growing areas where there is no law and damn little government, or none. And climate change is causing crop failures and neolib economics and war are creating large and growing numbers of refuges, warlords, and gangs looking for some way to survive. That's what these guys are running from. Like those kids that started showing up on our borders because of our dumb shit Central American policies. And nobody has any idea what to do about it except to pull up the drawbridge. Except there is no drawbridge.
