Hariri meets rival Frangieh over Lebanon crises
BEIRUT: Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri has held a rare meeting with rival Marada Movement leader Sleiman Frangieh to discuss the political situation in Lebanon, several reports said Sunday night and Monday.Separately, Hariri also met with Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt, according to a statement issued by Hariri's media office.
Pan-Arab newspaper Al-Hayat said the meeting, the first between the two men in a long time, took place in Paris last week.
“The [critical] circumstances the country is going through necessitate openness and dialogue,” Al-Hayat quoted Hariri as telling a source who followed up on the meeting.
