Human Rights Watch Daily Brief, 10 March 2016

ISIS atrocities in Iraq; fences & border closures in Europe; violent attack on journalists & activists in Russia; reduced sentences for woman's murderers in Afghanistan; censoring LGBT in Indonesia; and France's "Legion of Dishonor."

The Islamic State has killed more than 200 people in Iraq, the great majority of them civilians, in bombings over the past two weeks. Intentional killing of civilians is a war crime, and the widespread nature of the attacks may amount to crimes against humanity.
