US National Security Agency 'spied on French diplomats'

The US National Security Agency has spied on French diplomats in Washington and at the UN, according to the latest claims in Le Monde newspaper.

NSA internal memos obtained by Le Monde detailed the use of a sophisticated surveillance programme, known as Genie.

US spies allegedly hacked foreign networks, introducing the spyware into the software, routers and firewalls of millions of machines.

It comes a day after claims the NSA tapped millions of phones in France.

What's the big deal? "US National Security Agency 'spied on French diplomats". That is what spying agencies do, and they seek information that is valuable to their interests. And that includes France.

The U.S. gets spied upon too, and does not make a big deal out it. You can catch criminals through the internet, the same way the French do also.

The truth is most developed countries have the technology to embark upon an intelligence gathering program. This allows the country to adopt new technology and develop its own. Technology is one of the main issues that countries look after, the way they save on to keep abreast of their competitors.
