Cruz brings back Shock and Awe: Bomb ISIS to ‘Stone Age’ with ‘overwhelming’ air campaign

“Shock and Awe” is back, at least if Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has his way.

In an interview with ABC News, the Tea Party back Republican suggested that the best foreign policy for dealing with the Islamic militant group ISIS was to launch and “overwhelming air campaign” to “bomb them back to the Stone Age.”

“What we ought to do is have a direct, concerted, overwhelming air campaign to take them out,” Cruz told ABC’s Jeff Zeleny in an interview that was broadcast on Sunday.

Cruz suggested that the bombing campaign could even extend into Syria, but “the objective should not be to resolve the civil war” in that country.

Curtis LeMay thanks you for the mention.

LeMay, who also once told JFK he was in a "pretty bad fix," re. Cuba during the missile crisis. Kennedy made him repeat the remark before telling LeMay he was right in there, too (asshole).

These are the "patriots"; people who care about nothing more than their own egos and don't give a flying fuck about anything else.

army with few structures or formations to hit? They're blended into the population and existing infrastructure. I'm pretty sure Iraqi civilians don't want to die or live in a moonscape of craters (again).
