Looking back at the popular Iranian uprising of 2009-2010

In this time of heightened tension with Iran, I think it is important to keep in mind that a large segment of the Iranian people (especially those who are urbanized) are against the regime and pro-west. Many died protesting the 2009 Iranian presidential election stolen by Ahmadinejad. For me, the story of one young Iranian protester (Neda Soltan) assassianted by the regime while peacefully walking back to her car after a protest brings home this point.
