Bernie supporters: is Bernie consistent with most liberals on Israel?

Honestly, I don't know enough about Sanders and I ran across this article. I think it's fair to say that most progressives have been concerned about the ongoing conflicts in Israel and would like to see a negotiated solution. What exactly is Sander's view? I realize sometimes it's hard to get any politician to actually say what they are thinking, so maybe someone can fill me in with specifics about Bernie before a primary. Sometimes articles on the internet are less than accurate too.

Snip:

In July Sanders formed part of the “unanimous consent” to a resolution to support Israel in its attack, a resolution Salon’s David Palumbo-Liu said at the time “does more than confirm U.S. Senate support for Israel. It pushes that statement beyond any rational or ethical or moral framework imaginable.” - See more at: http://mondoweiss.net/2015/05/sanders-leftwing-economic#sthash.EFUPtbNJ.dpuf

that's one reason I was asking. There is a lot of misinformation out there.

Without lobby money, the political landscape changes dramatically..that is where he
is significantly different. Presently, I would not expect Sanders to be any more different
than Obama on the conflict and I do not expect any US president to enable the Palestinians
to have a viable state through negotiations with Israel. They're alone, and on their own.
