Israeli opposition leader in London: I'm here to fight BDS

https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/news/europe/19353-israeli-opposition-leader-in-london-im-here-to-fight-bds

Israeli opposition leader Isaac Herzog expressed his concern about Israel's deteriorating international relations Friday, warning of a growing boycott and a rift with the US administration.

Herzog, head of the Labour party and the Zionist Camp alliance, made the remarks in a lecture at the London School of Economics (LSE), as an invited guest of the university's Institute of Global Affairs.

Under tight security, and with pro-Palestinian protesters outside the building, Herzog dedicated much of his speech to what he described as an "onslaught against Israel all over the world", including the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign.

Herzog slammed as "totally unacceptable" moves to boycott and isolate Israel, urging the international community to "encourage negotiations, not punishments." Declaring himself ready to "defend Israel's good name" and be its "representative wherever it is needed", Herzog declared: "I am here to combat it [BDS] – I am here exactly for that purpose."

encourage negotiations, not punishments...

What a load of complete hasbara bullshit.

Israel is in the situation that it is in exactly due to that reason. They paid lip service to negotiations for years while they trucked their colonists in, continue to steal land, continue to destroy anything Palestinian, and their present PM declared "There will never be a Palestinian state!" and now they want a do over...cause, ya know they really are serious this time and those big bad racists, all over the world, in the BDS movement are, ya know, bad ...and ya know if the Palestinians will just bend over again while we bone them once more with more preconditions we can continue this charade for a few more years...while disenfranchising them even more.

...trust us.

No. Trust in the fact that Israel wants as much Palestinian land as it can steal while leaving the Palestinians with a few crumbs and a few more dead children.

Trust in the fact that the world has grown tired of apartheid Israel, and it demands that it starts behaving like a Democracy and not a colonial power.

Trust in BDS.
