So Israel and the Republican-controlled US Congress are the only folks opposed to the Iran deal?

Who else is opposed? The Gulf States? Not any more:

DOHA, Qatar — Persian Gulf monarchies issued a cautious endorsement on Monday of the accord Secretary of State John Kerry negotiated last month to constrain Iran’s nuclear program.

“This was the best option among other options,” said Khalid al-Attiyah, the foreign minister of Qatar, who hosted a meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council that Mr. Kerry attended.

In a news conference with Mr. Kerry, Mr. Attiyah said that the secretary of state had repeated his assurance that the United States would stop Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon if Tehran failed to adhere to the accord.

“We are confident that what they undertook makes this region safer and more stable,” he added.

Seems like most of the world backs the deal. It received unanimous consent in the UN Security Council.

Why should we listen to the same folks who dragged us into the Iraq war clusterfuck? Netanyahu was literally creaming himself as the bombs started falling on Baghdad in 2003.

These same folks are so quick to oppose peace initiatives like the Iran deal.

Why are they so blood thirsty?

3. The deal is the best, and maybe the only way, to achieve that.

The foolish Israeli/right wing approach would only succeed if Iran was invaded, occupied and the leadership there eliminated. Simply bombing facilities would not stop a country of Iran's size and capabilities.

Hopefully we won't let Israel and the right wing dupe us into another disastrous invasion.

are against the deal:

I'm guessing they don't care what the gulf states think. Can't speak for any other senators but Schumer will suffer zero consequences if he votes against it.

9. Brutal new poll shows a sharp plunge in support for the Iran deal

Americans overwhelmingly dislike the US-led Iran nuclear deal on which President Barack Obama is now trying to sell Congress.

According to a new Quinnipiac University poll published on Monday, only 28% of Americans said that they approve of the Iran deal, which aims to curb the country's nuclear ambitions in exchange for sanctions relief.

That compared to 57% who said they disapprove of the deal, which was brokered between Iran and six world powers. The vast majority of respondents also said that the deal will make America less safe.
