Obama’s Ex-Pastor: Israel Is Apartheid State, ‘Jesus Was A Palestinian’

Jeremiah Wright, US President Barack Obama’s former pastor, called Israel an apartheid state and said “Jesus was a Palestinian” at a rally in Washington hosted by the Rev. Louis Farrakhan.

At an hours-long event Saturday on the National Mall titled “Justice or Else,” Wright said that African-Americans, Native Americans and Palestinians have suffered under the “three-headed demon” of “racism, militarism and capitalism.”

“The same issue is being fought today and has been fought since 1948, and historians are carried back to the 19th century … when the original people, the Palestinians — and please remember, Jesus was a Palestinian — the Palestinian people have had the Europeans come and take their country,” Wright said, The Hill reported.

“The youth in Ferguson and the youth in Palestine have united together to remind us that the dots need to be connected,” Wright also said.

“And what Dr. King said, injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, has implications for us as we stand beside our Palestinian brothers and sisters, who have been done one of the most egregious injustices in the 20th and 21st centuries.”

Jesus was a Palestinian JEW.

Who , like many other thousands of Palestinian Jews, was living in his ancestral homeland 2000 years ago and continuously though today.

By Iraqis, for a while, and Lebanese. By other Palestinians (many with Arab ancestors or at least Arab names). Then the Turks moved in.

Of course, we can't dismiss the persecution and oppression of the Israelites by the Egyptians. (Don't many Afro-centric thinkers view all the Egyptians, upper and lower, as black?)

About the only non-oppressors of the Jews are those who failed to have significant contact with them. The Ainu, for example.

Then he turned to his most famous former congregant, accusing him of failing to speak out about structural racism.
“My daughter and granddaughter call him our Halfrican-American president—he don’t want to talk about reparations,” Wright said, never naming Obama. “It’s not personal responsibility. It’s not ‘pull your pants up.’ Don’t get on Fox News and lecture black men. You’re missing the point. Let’s talk about white-on-black crime. Until we have a hard dialogue, it’s all gonna be superficial, ‘Kumbaya,’ ‘We Shall Overcome.’”

He followed that with an extended metaphor about sheepdogs—once they’re trained to protect a flock, he said, they’ll fight against even dogs from their own litter—and declared, “We got a lot of sheepdogs in the African American community.” He didn’t name any. He didn’t really need to.

African-Americans "dogs" does that count as a dogwhistle?

Or is it low-frequency enough to not need to be a dogwhistle?
