However, does it mean that all the Facebook posts are bogus? Unfortunately, they seem to be genuine, but I would like to have confirmation from a better source.

You acknowledge the Facebook posts are genuine, so why aren't your "trusty and reliable" sources interested in doing something about this hate & incitement?

I need to give you Kudos for acknowledging the obvious hatred by UN representatives on their Facebook pages. Usually it's denied in these parts. Why do you think good folks would deny this?

That's actually the whole of my objection, and it would be better if a serious NGO investigated instead.

Why do you think that is?

1. people post the damnedest things on Facebook, and seem to be clueless to the fact that other people will actually read their posts.

2. These people are full of hate, and they think it's cool to manifest that hate with pictures of knives that they can share with their like-minded friends.

The attitudes displayed on Facebook probably reflect pre-existing attitudes, and not an increase. I'm a softie, so I think education is the key to improvement. I really don't like racists, but hating them won't stop them.

I'm not sure what to do about it, but something ought to be done. Not by UN Watch, but someone else.

What you see on the Facebook of a lot of UN employees is real and it's a huge problem, but folks fear criticizing the UN, especially when it comes to I/P. Makes them appear like rightwing, anti-Palestinian, Zionist stooge racists. Better to go with the flow. Why?

Here's why....because to harshly criticize these Hamas employees (or Hamas itself) is to risk getting kicked out of Gaza - something journalists don't want or NGO's that are there. The UN doesn't want to condemn Hamas either, or else risk getting their employees in Gaza kidnapped, kneecapped, or killed. Besides, the UN really doesn't give a shit. After all, they have Saudi Arabia heading their Human Rights council.

So whether it's UN employees, NGO's, or Journalists....this UNRWA hatred against Jews must be kept under wraps. There's too much invested in Gaza (and the Palestinian territories) to be on the outside looking in - or worse, to risk your employees' lives. Reporting on Palestine and Israel is also big money these days. Plus, many people in the UN, in NGO's, and Media support the Palestinian cause (Hamas too) and feel no need to condemn UNRWA hate. It simply doesn't bother them that much (because they're racists themselves).

Perhaps there could be stricter standards against incitement, but they must be of a general nature, as one sort of incitement shouldn't be targeted at the expense of others. However, to enforce stricter standards and educate against incitement, more resources will be needed.

So perhaps the solution is to provide the UNRWA with the tools and funds it needs to stop this hateful crap.

However, I do have a problem with UN Watch using Elder of Ziyon as a source. I prefer less blemished sources without agendas.
