UN: Hezbollah's launch of Iranian drone into Israel was 'reckless provocation'

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon submitted an especially harsh report on the situation in Lebanon, including sharp criticism of Hezbollah, to the 15-member Security Council on Thursday.

The report, a copy of which was attained by Haaretz, warned that the Iranian drone launched into Israel by the organization earlier this month was a “reckless provocation.”

The author of the report is Terje Rod-Larsen, the Secretary General’s special envoy for the implementation of Security Council Resolution 1559, passed in 2004, which called for the withdrawal of the Syrian forces from Lebanon, the disbanding of all militias and the extension of the Lebanese government’s control over all Lebanese territory.

It's like a hypocrisy mine.

However, I do think the drone thing was silly. But that's the norm, isn't it? Silliness. Dick waving. Talk about "Deterrence". The desperate fear that somebody somewhere will not be sufficiently afraid of you?

You see what I mean? A hypocrisy mine.

But yeah, I think unilateral disarmament is unlikely, and Ban has been less than effective about much of anything. Not that I would want the job.

1 Hizbu'llah violation of airspace IS THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT.

The whole poutrage is bonkers, but hardly surprising.

Reminds me of suburban housewives living in enclaves worrying about gang violence. If you are going to have slums, they are going to be full of slum-dwellers, and they are going to be hungry. If these so called elites were half as smart as they pretend to be, they could figure that out, but they enjoy enjoy looking down on their "inferiors" too much to give it up.
