Obama has no intention of releasing Pollard

U.S. President Barack Obama has no intention of releasing Jonathan Pollard from prison, despite the fact that over 70,000 thousand people have already signed onto an online petition calling for Pollard’s release, Channel 10 News reported on Wednesday.

The report cited close associates of Obama as having said, “The President does not understand why he should pardon a traitor, when tens of thousands of African Americans are rotting in prison for life over less serious crimes.”

The officials also indicated that Obama does not intend to present any gestures involving Pollard during his visit to Israel next month. At the same time, reported Channel 10, the White House is very concerned that Israelis will protest over the issue during Obama’s visit.

I would think posting from this source would be beneath you.

He compared it to 972 Mag which is a far far more dubious source as everyone knows.

972 has writers who have defended know antisemites like Larry Derfner did with Greta Berlin .

Oberliner was making that point .

You just never got it ?

Except of course when it publishes a story that appeals to your sensibilities, and then suddenly it becomes credible again:-

Oberliner has previously struggled to articulate a consistent position on whether the Maan News Agency should be regarded as credible, this seems to be another example of that.

walking back his prior assessment of Pollard that would lend an indication Obama would change his mind.

U.S. Vice President tells American Jewish leaders that while the sentiment expressed in his quoted rejection was correct, his words were taken out of context.
