Palestinian Media Watch has uncovered a segment that aired during a children’s program on Palestinian Authority TV, The Best Home, that taught that Israel’s land belongs to the Palestinians and was “occupied” in 1948. The children were also taught to anticipate the end of the State of Israel when the TV host stated that the land “occupied” in 1948 “will return to us one day.”

Below is the full text of the segment (courtesy PMW):

PA TV host: “And of course we will never forget that we have land that was occupied in 1948, which will return to us one day. Remember well, children. Also remember to safeguard our folklore, our national games, the folklore in all its forms, our dress and our food and our games and anything that forms the Palestinian folklore – we have to safeguard it. If we don’t safeguard it, then the occupation might steal it as well, as it stole our land. Right? Do you agree with me? Bravo!”

That land was occupied by Palestinians within living memory, do you really think they'll forget this quickly?

The Jews certainly didn't forget, why should the Palestinians be any different?

... that the land has been Jew-Free since 70AD and the Jews just showed up in 1948 and started building kibbutzim?

Jews of Palestine (the original Palestinians) have been living on that land continuously under the rule of whatever power was in charge at the time -- Romans, Byzantines, Turks, Egyptians, Arabs, Franks, Ottomans, British ... you name it.

It's really unfortunate that the Palestinians had to pay the price for the richly deserved European guilt after WWII.

History is replete with injustices against every and all peoples, sometimes a given people are on the receiving end of the injustice and sometimes they are on the end dishing out the injustice, quite often it's both at the same time.
