5 Palestinians confess to attack that critically hurt toddler
The Shin Bet security service announced on Sunday that it had arrested five Palestinian teenagers from the West Bank village of Hares on suspicion of involvement in a stone-throwing attack that caused a major accident and left a toddler fighting for her life.
According to security forces, the five, males aged 16-17, confessed to taking part in the attack 10 days ago. Six people were injured, one critically, after stones thrown by the Palestinian teens caused a car to collide with a truck near the settlement of Ariel.
Yakir resident Adva Bitton and her 3 daughters aged 2, 4 and 6 were injured in the crash. The 2-year-olds condition was described as critical. The truck driver and a bus driver who was also on the scene were lightly injured.
Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred after Bitton lost control of her car because of rocks thrown at her.
