Israeli police attack large anti-Prawer protests in Haifa

NAZARETH (Ma'an) -- Hundreds of protestors participated in a large demonstration in Haifa on Saturday against the Prawer Plan as part of a global "Day of Rage."
Many protesters were detained as Israeli police violently dispersed the crowds in the northern Israeli city, and clashes continued into the evening.
Protests took place on both sides of the Green Line as well as worldwide, as Palestinians, Israelis, and internationals protested in Israel, the West Bank, Gaza and in at least 14 other countries in Europe and the Arab World against the plan to forcibly relocate tens of thousands of Palestinian Bedouins.

However, the UK-based charity, Palestine Solidarity Campaign, said that the plan heralds “the forced displacement of Palestinians from their homes and land, and systematic discrimination and separation.”

In response to the demonstrations, Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman said: "We are fighting over the national land of the Jewish people and there are those that intentionally try to steal that land and control it by force. It is impossible to close our eyes and run from this reality."

Force the Bedouin out, who BTW are supposedly Israeli citizens (see apartheid), erase their existence from the place and build new Jewish Settlements on the ashes.

Perhaps you can post about an Israeli beauty queen or some unrelated fluff to distract attention?
The goings on in Israel Palestine being of more interest than the provincial squablings and personalities and petty gotchas of the cyber-persona posting in this tiny little group.
best that Team Hijack can do is complain that a recent news story, showing Israel in a bad light, is getting too much play.
Instead of saying the sane thing: "Yeah, that's a bad move, and is a human rights violation for sure." or "The UN should really weigh in on an apparent lack of judgment and horrible example of apartheid." what we are given as a reply is
"There are too many articles about a recent event in Israel."
