American thinker Noam Chomsky has called for an end to the eight -year Israeli siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Member of Parliament Gamal Al-Khodari said yesterday.

"No one has ever suffered more than those besieged in the mass prison of Gaza, where they have been exposed to displacement, massacres, terrorism, torture and all kinds of derogatory acts created by humans," he said.

He called the siege on Gaza the "worst" in the 21st century. "This siege is the worst ever crime of the 21st century," Chomsky said.

In addition, he pointed out that the series of attacks on the people of Gaza are violations of international law and the rules of justice and basic humanitarian dignity.
