People keep blaming Israel. They are anti-semitic. Why do they hate us?

The same way "anti-Americanism" only ever refers to hatred of the United States. Saying "but technically Mexicans and Brazilians and Canadians are American because they're all part of the Americas" doesn't change that meaning.
