Jerusalem Synagogue Attack: Palestinians in Gaza Celebrate Murders with Flags and Sweets

Palestinians in Gaza have celebrated the killing of four worshippers at a synagogue in Jerusalem, sparking outrage in Israel.

Men were photographed offering trays full of candy to dozens of people who took to the streets in Rafah and at the Jabalia refugee camp to celebrate the deadly attack in Jerusalem's ultra-Orthodox Har Nof neighbourhood.

Masked militants posed for pictures holding knifes and axes, as women scattered sweets to children amid wavering green Hamas flags and banners commemorating the assailants - who were shot dead by police.

The images drew anger and condemnation in Israel.

is how the pro Israel folks seem so surprised and appalled at Palestinian behavior in these news stories.

Israelis harass Palestinians until they leave new settlement homes, cut down Palestinian olive trees routinely, and over respond to every Palestinian terrorist attack. They end up butchering Palestinians and their homes, livelihoods by the thousands in the name of defense.

No different than the US routinely killing innocents via drone strikes and wondering why people in these countries hate us.

Wake up and smell what you are shoveling Israel!

but where are your pictures / stories of Israeli abuses of Palestinians?

I have no dog in this fight. I'm an old, fat, gentile white guy, but I do know bull when I see it.

It's sad that these Israelis lost their lives in an endless war OVER NOTHING!

However, don't pretend to tell me that Israeli deaths are any more worthy of pity than Palestinian deaths at the hands of a racist, bigoted Israeli society.

I try not to comment on these posts but I am damned sick of them! All of y'all need to GROW THE F UP! Neither side has ANY ROOM FOR ARROGANCE.

I hope you, shira and the other Israeli apologists on this board have a lovely time together.

My goal is not to change your opinion, or your insufferable posts.

My goal is to simply inform you that thinking, reasonable middle of the road people on this board read your posts and reject out of hand that Israel and Israelis have no role in the violence inflicted on its people.

We ARE sad when people are hurt! We do however, recognize Israel's role in the violence inflicted on its own people.

Peace.

...to see any society cheer on the murder of innocents. Palestinian leaders encourage, promote, praise, and cheer these murders.

There was a recent lynching of an Arab boy in Israel this summer, but Israeli society outright condemned it rather than cheering it on. There was wall to wall disgust within Israel, from far right to far left. This despite the history of the past 100 years of Arab on Jew violence, terror, and hate.

well I suppose there may have been some condemnation once things got past the 'rumor' spread in the Israeli press that he was killed by family members because he was Gay, one publication even went so far as to claim that 'Arabs' had already been arrested for the crime, that kind of condemnation?

And there's been absolutely no outrage or condemnation of this vile act within Palestinian society. It's either been praised or excused as a reaction to Israeli policy.

The mentality of conflict: Six steps to avoiding empathy

Here is what I’ve seen. “Our” in this case means “Israeli,” since I am one.

1. All our violence against their civilians is a matter of exceptions and anomalies, by bad apples and extremists. When they attack civilians, this represents the true nature of all their people.

2. They don’t believe our facts, because they want to incite their people. We don’t believe their facts, especially when they are filmed, because they are lying.

3. All our violence is justified as response, punishment, or deterrence from further attack. A good example is everything that happened in Gaza this summer. All their violence – such as everything happening in recent weeks – is unprovoked, arbitrary; because they hate us and want to exterminate us.

4. #3 justifies us supporting attacks on them, including civilians. When they support attacks on civilians, it’s proof that they are barbarians.

5. When they kill our civilians, they must condemn them – even when they do, it’s not enough. When we kill their civilians, condemning or even observing the events is the mark of radical leftists and traitors. It warrants cries of “death to Arabs and leftists,” heard frequently.

6. When they say bad things about us , it’s incitement; when we say bad things about them, it’s true. Primitive, bloodthirsty, beasts, sexual predators, Islam as a religion of blood and death and worse – these are becoming daily fare.

Unlike the massive Israeli (Zionist) outrage at Abu Kheder's senseless murder.

------------------------------------

And just like Abbas, western anti-Zios from team BDS have nothing to say about Palestinian society (and leadership) celebrating the Rabbis' murders.

Nothing to say about Abbas' mealy-mouthed statement.

Very revealing. Chilling. And vile.

We unequivocally condemn the horrific murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir. It was unjustifiable under any circumstances. The killing was reprehensible and we hope that the criminals who did this sickening act are found and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Israel is a country run by the rule of law. There are reports that Jews have been arrested for this crime. If a trial finds that Jews are indeed guilty of this unconscionable killing, our condemnation is redoubled. The idea that Jews could do such an act fills us with shame and horror.

The people who murdered Mohammed do not represent us in any way. It is not enough to dissociate ourselves from the dreadful act; we must also ensure that crimes like this are never repeated.

Just as the appalling murders of Naftali Fraenkel, Eyal Yifrach and Gilad Shaar do not in any way justify the hideous murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir, neither does Khdeir's murder justify the violence, terrorism, destruction and incitement we have seen over the past few days against Israelis and Jews.

We hope and pray that everyone, Arab and Jew, lives in peace and security in the region.

....is something we will never see from any anti-Zionist, pro-BDS activists in favor of a Palestinian state. They will never call for such a letter from Abbas or any other leading Palestinian figures or organizations.

It's because they support rather than condemn terrorism.

A recent example being Rasmea Odeh.

To which there is deafening silence from the anti-Israel crowd which condones such behavior.

I understand there are a few of you steadfast Israeli cheerleaders here, blind to Israel's hand in its own suffering.

I know there are no words I can offer that will reach past the blinders you all have willingly placed in your minds.

Normally I just chuckle at the folly and move on. Every once in awhile I get irked by the shear volume of these insufferably blind pro-Israel posts so I say something.

My apologies for interrupting your self confirming feedback loop.
