On Tuesday, Police Inspector-General Yohanan Danino said it was a mistake to allow Members of the Knesset to go up to Al-Aqsa, especially legislators who support changing the status quo, as this increases tensions in the region.
"Their behaviour could endanger the public and its security and I cannot permit it," he said.

(58,724 posts)Just the presence of Jews in this location (which happens to be one of the holiest sites in Judaism) constitutes "desecration" worthy of committing terrorist attacks (i.e. killing actual people) in response.
