The Lone Gunmen, Pilot march 2001

The pilot program, which first aired on March 4, 2001, concerned a government plot to crash an airplane into the World Trade Center and make it appear as a terrorist plot in order to justify more defense spending

Weird and a little too coincidental for my taste

Apparently Tom Clancy and the writers for this program are 'no one's.

right now and it even brings Iraq into the story.
No wonder why it was canceled.

the pilots turned off the auto pilot but had no control of the plane which was headed for the WTC.... lone gunmen were able to hack into the DoD and switch it off at the last moment.

Wow.... How did I miss this series?

....I would use this tactic. Get most or key parts of the whole story out in popular film culture as FICTION. This negates much future, serious speculation about events. "Naw, now you're thinking of that movie you saw. That's just a story."

They didn't need the series for more than that.

I thought of Clancy's books too (like debt of honor, hitting the capitol with a plane and some other incidents) when I began to emerge from the 9/11 haze. Do you think that middle east terrorists read his stuff?
