That's sort o' clever, in that it can be seen as re-enforcing a particular belief. (nt) (nr) T S Justly Dec 2011 #4

2. Not everyone sees it that way

Here's another view -

"I examined the can for several minutes while my food grew cold, wondering if my eyes were deceiving me. But there was no getting around it. To either side of the Pepsi logo, there was an image of a jet airliner over tall buildings. Looking at the image, I couldn't help but think it alluded to 9/11.

Three other soldiers were sitting with me at my table. One of the other soldiers asked what I was looking at so hard. Instead of answering, I handed him the can and said, "Look at the artwork on this can. Do you see what I see?"

He looked. His eyes grew wide. He turned the can from side to side. The other soldiers at the table looked, too. None of us said anything. The phrase "9/11" never passed from our lips. We could LOOK at each other and understand we all saw the same thing, a "sneaky allusion to 9/11."

I know one of you smarties would know.

I think that is likely what we have going on in the Pepsi can situation.

There is clearly a plane and tall buildings on the can - that's not being conjured by the brain as in pareidolia - but a plane and tall buildings simply are not sufficient ingredients for 9/11.

I think it's more like how there's 1 style of mustache that will forever remind people of Hitler.

I really don't understand your conclusion. For that to even happen, one would have to belief the can is displaying the 9-11 attack. Are you claiming this is some type of psy-ops? If so, what would be the purpose?

What rationale would they have? Is it simply because they are a large corporation?

Pepsi to scrap Mideast can some say evokes 9/11, Jerusalem Post, 12/20

The Pepsico corporation has nixed a special Diet Pepsi can design after customers complained that it evoked the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center, leading to calls to boycott the company.

In an email sent to The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday, a company spokesperson said that the design was meant to evoke the Dubai skyline, and that any offense caused was accidental.
