One of the main problems Truthers have is that they are unbelievable. Their claims are often incredulous. They lack credibility, in many ways, whether professionally, academically or socially.
Pilots for Truth leader "Cap't Bob" Balsamo is a perfect example. He purports to be an "expert" in this field of aviation, but has made so many errors of fact, of omission, of what must be ignorance, that his very credibility is not only in question, it is missing in action.
Among many errors he has made over the years, either by lack of attention to detail or pure ignorance, this latest one stands out. He claims that a Boeing 767-class aircraft, at an altitude of 700 feet, has a *maximum* speed of 250 miles per hour, or 217 knots indicated airspeed (KIAS). *Maximum* in that it physically cannot fly faster than that speed.
His source for this "information" is a Boeing public relations representative, a Ms. Leslie Hazzard, who has nothing more (according to her LinkedIn profile) then a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Western Washington University (and a minor in political science). No aeronautical experience whatsoever, yet her word, that a 767 cannpt fly faster than 250 miles per hour at 700 feet is understood by Cap't Bob as a true statement.
If he believes that, what else does he believe that is total and utter bullshit? We already know that his "home made" speed diagram does not take into account the "safety margin" built in to airframe design beyond "acceptable" maximum flight speeds. We already know he claims an "overflight" at the Pentagon when there is no proof nor witnesses for anything close to such. We already know he lies about "eyewitness" testimony from folks at the Pentagon who say one thing and he totally changes their purported observations to a flight path that fits his own agenda.
What else does he lie about?

"Cap't Bob" Balsamo continues his lie about Hani Hanjour not being able to fly a 757 into the Pentagon. This video has been around a while and shows a novice pilot hitting the building three times in a row. Balsamo will wave his hands and talk about speed diagrams and mouth off with terms like "never exceed speed" and "wings will fall off", but he has proven time and time and time he has no idea what he is talking about - if you don't believe me, just ask him where the "11.2 gs" came from.

RADAR proves 77 hit the Pentagon.
DNA from everyone on the plane, including the terrorists was found in the Pentagon, except the small kid.
FDR from Flight 77 was found in the Pentagon on the damage path of the exact heading/true course 77 impacted at, stored in the FDR and verified by RADAR.
Witnesses saw 77 impact the Pentagon, the same time RADAR has 77 on RADAR at the Pentagon. OOPS
911 truth wants something that does not exist, and ignore RADAR, FDR, DNA?
DNA in the damage path, from the exact kinetic energy impact damage a 757 made. Did 911 truth read the study of the Pentagon building performance hit by a 757 going 483.5 Knots?

These reports are from raw data you can get, and check; the data proves it was 77, not a swapped plane, etc. Solid proof, makes your video needs silly since there are no videos except the ones we have seen.
Who needs video - only 911 truth needs to talk of video to help keep their delusional inside job fantasy.

It's just like creationists, they always find some alleged missing evidence to not believe in something that is obviously true: where is the transition fossil. You are missing the transition fossil. Or frequently a favorite and as relevant as the alleged missing video: I've never seen a monkey turn into a human.
Of course there weren't high-speed video cameras pointed every direction. There is no reason that they would have a video or clear frames of an airplane flying at 500 mph.

I've come to the conclusion that this is their little pathetic world, without it, they would be lost and I wish to no longer give them a reason to spew their nonsense.
