Fire science is an established science. They understand very well what is in a typical office building and how it will burn. How do think they establish fire codes and sprinkler requirements.

that those office fires migrate after less than a half hour of burning because the fuel(papers, wood, etc) is consumed by that time. Not to mention the heat conductive properties of steel which wicks away the heat and the members begin to cool immediately after the fires are no longer present.

So how long would it take for the WTC fires to "migrate" as they moved upwards? How large a fire would each 100,000 square foot floor generate through this "migration"?

The fires were not so large that the firefighters were giving up on them.

and think "what small fires". Amazing.

The firemen knew they had a massive fire. They also knew there were thousands of trapped people needing rescue. They never considered that the towers would collapse.
