UKIP candidate suggested gays stop complaining and start thanking straight people
A former UKIP parliamentary candidate and current Oxford City Council hopeful has said people who choose to be gay should stop complaining about persecution and start thanking straight people for giving birth to them.
Dr Julia Gasper was selected by UKIP (United Kingdom Independence Party)to run for Parliament in 2010 in Oxford East and is now campaigning for election to the city council in next weeks elections, prompting a concerned resident to draw attention to her blog.
This month, UKIP, which advocates withdrawal from the European Union, overtook the Liberal Democrats in a national YouGov poll of voting intentions, though in more recent polls they have reverted to tying with the party.
In 2010, Dr Gasper said gay rights had gone too far and suggested homosexuality is a choice.

(18,647 posts)Multi-culturalism is a bad ideal. (I think it's IDEA, professor.) I believe in integration, not separate communities. Everybody who lives in Britain should obey the same laws: no Sharia law, no burquas, no polygamous marriages. Schools should teach pupils to be proud to be British and to feel that they owe something to their country. St Georges Day should be a national holiday.

(2,101 posts)be 'thanking straight people for learning that everyone is allowed to only control one mind, their own.'
She could start a program for those finding it difficult to control selfish and overbearing behavior. An unwashed codpiece could slap the participants face, followed by hearing, "who is stupid enough to tell me what is wrong in my own mind?". Most straights couldn't grasp the concept within their lifetime - need more.
Adding a pop-up mirror with jack-in-the-box sounds after the question would help, but training prior to age-related health issues could remain a problem.
Oh well, I thought there was a glimmer of hope in this method, but no.
I wonder if she is familiar with the Nazi program of selective breeding? Scratch that too - she wears glasses. We're going to have to sterilize her!
