From the guy's own mouth:
Via Pam's House Blend
I dont know how David Pakman gets bigots to unload the most outrageous things on the air. Todays example is Paul Cameron, chairman the of Family Research Institute. Barista Alvin McEwen has been covering Cameron for years. A little about the activist:It was Cameron who in the 80s came up with the idea of aggressively using science to prove that homosexuality is a dangerous lifestyle. The problem is to do this, Cameron attained a reputation for either distorting legitimate science or distorting his own work to gain the conclusions he wanted from his studies. He has also been discredited and censured by many group and individuals on the left, the right, and in the middle due to his bad research techniques. Several of his studies have been criticized for such errors as having small sample sizes, showing an anti-gay bias in interviews, and not having enough responses to establish a suitable analysis.
(snip)
So I interviewed Paul Cameron today. In this interview, he actually admits to being attracted to men from the time he was 3. When I asked if he is gay based on his lifelong obsession with anal sex, in addition to his admitted attraction to men, he becomes clearly flustered, claims that gay is a political term, and that he has no interest in pursuing homosexual relations, which completely sidesteps and ignores whether he is still to this day attracted to men.
That's the worst sort of homosexual; the one who would do his well-adjusted fellows in.
What a ho.

that's what I get for reading too quickly at work. I thought you were talking about Cameron, not Pakman.
:embarrassed:
I'll read more slowly from now on!

(3,310 posts)Speculation is one thing. We've all not appreciated that on GD. Speaking for myself, I've feared what might come of the speculation threads. Threads in this group have echoed those fears.
I posted this with some trepidation. I don't mind riding a hypocrite like a rented mule. Having an admission up front gives us some forewarning for the threads to come. The down side is, yeah, the speculators in GD are gonna have a field day.
Can't win either way.

(325 posts)and I have no doubts he's straight, and I never will, (not that it's my business to care what he is, either) he is a once rare breed becoming more common among straight men, thankfully, both David and his co-host Louis. I admire David's interview skills, his chutzpah, and every thing else about his body and mind.
Louis, the co-host, isn't so bad to look at either, and is in the right place politically, mostly, except he should register and actually vote. This fall, his vote in Mass would make a difference between Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren.
Louis, go out an register and vote in Mass this fall.

(53,475 posts)... succumb to your aching, burning desire to "choose" to be gay.

(325 posts)To hide behind the desire to be close to someone of the same gender, crushed by religious mythology and guilt trips. Too horrible a fate for any man or woman.

On edit. He knows, but has never acted on his desires.
