CNN Contributor Defends Radio Host Who Said Obama Turns Kids Gay

CNN contributor Dana Loesch is defending the 14-year-old talk radio host who said President Obama "is making kids gay."

Loesch, who is also host of The Dana Show on radio, went on Twitter to defend Caiden Cowger from outrage.

"Another conservative teen under attack for being ... a conservative teen," she wrote. "Remember when adults praised civic participation?"

Later she added, "Love the NOH8 bullies. Love the irony of that statement even more."

...But that's the same thing as saying he's being attacked for being a conservative.

A straight guy wrote something like, "Only a gay person trying to suppress their own gay feelings would consider that being gay was a choice."

He went on to write some other stuff, but I thought that was a profound insight... I'm gay, but that insight hadn't crossed my mind in that way. Maybe, it's obvious to others, but wasn't to me.

we have. Seems like some GLBT people agree, some don't.

I don't think only a gay person would believe that; I also think a bisexual person supressing their homosexual attractions would believe that. A straight person would maybe say it without understanding it or believing it, but kind of like how children will state, "the earth is round" - it's 'wisdom' received from authorities, in this case religious authorities, and to proselytize that belief is to receive approval from those in your own community.

Separately, I was out recently carousing on a Sunday afternoon, and I met a guy who - apropo of nothing, really - stated that it was his belief that 90% of men are bisexual. So you know, who knows.

I had an open Gay Aunt, in addition to, many ancestors going back hundreds of years who never married or had children. I have one gay daughter out of 2 children.

My husband's genealogy is very similar. He had a gay Uncle. His sister has 2 out of 4 children who are gay.

Both our families reads like a HS Bio class of if one parents has blue eyes and one parent has brown eyes, etc., subustitute gay for eye color.

Sterilize us straight couples with a family history of gay ancestors? I could care less any more than whether my kids were blue eyed blondes (one), or lefthanded.

Whatever.
