I'm sure you have heard rumors about other stars.

The time for acceptance has come.

It's even ok for some to support Obama now.

If it wasn't irrelevant, their biggest stars would be singing country instead of pop and rock.

Some of the biggest stars are from Country Music.

And if your just trying to fuck with me, you have picked the wrong day and the wrong place and the wrong Group.

By "their", I mean "Country".

Hell, some of the old tracks I listen to (Dylan, The Band, The Stones) are a whole lot more country than that Taylor Swift stuff they drown the airwaves with. Many of the big up and coming males also have more of a Springsteeny vibe than traditional country these days.

if your just trying to fuck with me

I am an equal opportunity country critic, so it just isn't you.

the best thing would be for the country genre and it's "artists" to disappear.

pretty sure Bob Dylan would pretty much disagree with you much. And I'm not a big fan of it, but:

The OP posted a song he liked and can relate to it. You came out of the bluegrass just to be snippy. Well, bless your lil' heart.

In America, the majority of music playing radio stations have a country format. It is one of the most popular genres of music in the world.

By artificial, I mean those songs that have the added lick every 10-15 seconds to remind us its country, which would otherwise be absolutely complete and playable on any soft rock or pop station in their absence.

There are a few new male artists that actually have some decent music, but they are only played on country (and often)--I think they just don't fit in anywhere else despite their talent.

until I realized some of what I liked listening to was actually country music, lol. I like Willie Nelson a lot and always have. Then, later, I found out many consider Johnny Cash country (some consider him folk too, I once did) and then K.D. Lang and the Dixie Chicks and several others came along that I liked as well. Now, as I get older, I am noticing more and more country music is not the horrible, boring music I always claimed it was, lol. It can actually be pretty doggone good at times.

One country song that I have always loved was Feed Jake by the Pirates of the Mississippi.

Another that I just discovered again was by Willie Nelson:

and an uncensored video here:

I'm glad to hear more and more country acts are pro gay rights and also that more and more are actually gay.
