Bill (HillWilliams) is grief-stricken beyond imagination. Rob's death was very unexpected and sudden.
Bill lives in NC just ~20 miles south of Danville, VA - if anyone is close by. He owns acreage where he and Rob parented their six wonderful rescue dogs.
Rob was my dear friend and a FB buddy. Even though we'd never met in person, I loved him. We exchanged many messages and kept up with each other's lives.
To give you some idea of what a wonderful person Rob was, here's his last post in one of my threads from early this morning:
"I had a great uncle who survived Buchenwald, I knew about 30 Auschwitz survivors, and of course I have been to the memorial site in Miami beach. Every time i see pics like this I get scary feelings and I also have a large problem with certain groups who parse the same hate right here for those who are not like them, or perhaps are too much like the parts of themselves they are uncomfortable with."
He had great compassion for anyone and any critter who was suffering.
I will miss him so.

I cannot stop crying. This old atheist hopes angels are surrounding Bill and giving him strength to deal with Rob's passing.... and with all the damn details that comes with a loved one's death.
May he be free from suffering. Peace and comfort to HillWilliam and his companions.
