Hope Sasha recovers fully and quickly, and I hope that the ignorant, hateful little snot that thinks it's OK to set people on fire is put someplace where he can't cause harm to anyone else.

That is so reprehensible, cruel, my jaw dropped to read this headline.

We now have the goon squad known as the "National Organization for Marriage" working hard to protect "innocent" people from the LGBT "menace" in California. How? By collecting signatures as we speak to remove the protections to the transgendered community that were passed this year. If we already have "homophobes" thinking this is okay now, what are CA's schools going to be like next year if the NOMiban get enough signatures to get their latest act of bigotry on the ballot?

I live in California, and many days, I'm ashamed of it. One of the biggest reasons is the joke of a ballot initiative process we have. "Collect enough signatures, and hey, it goes on the ballot! 50% plus one vote it in? IT'S LAW! And, hey, if we fuck up and allow something unconstitutional to pass *cough*Prop 8*cough*, well, let the courts sort it out!" Sure. And, in the meantime, not only do you have the damage done during the time that the clearly unconstitutional proposition is law, but you get the open hostility toward the targeted group during the campaigns. I could go on and on about the hatred directed toward me, and the shattered relationships, thanks to Prop H8 five years ago. But, that is for another time...

So, forgive me for sounding a bit depressed reading this, as I sit here thinking "If our T's like Sasha are going through this now, just how much uglier will it be if this hateful proposition gets on the 2014 ballot?"

Someone needs to tell these NOMiban assclowns and their ilk that "Protecting Children" (one of their "claims" back in 2008) means not attacking them through this state's fucked up initiative process because they're different.

I truly hope Sasha is able to make a full and speedy recovery. And may the day soon come where nobody identifying themselves as an L, G, B and/or T ever has to face this kind of cruelty and hatred again.

As for Richard Thomas? Juvenile detention facilities were made for people like him. Here's a thought: Maybe instead of trying to "reform" and "rehabilitate" LGBT's, why don't we reform and rehabilitate the damned bigots?!
