WASHINGTON HAS THE VOTES FOR MARRIAGE!

Washington now has enough votes to pass a marriage equality bill in the state Senate, following a state senator’s announcement of her support today after hours of public hearings regarding the measure.

Mary Margaret Haugen became the 25th member of the state senate, and the last vote needed to pass the bill, after scores of same-sex marriage supporters told their stories in the state capital for more than two hours.

The bill, first brought up by Washington governor Christine Gregoire, is expected to easily pass in the House but was one vote short of passage in the Senate until Haugen announced her support this afternoon.

Haugen, a Democrat, cited her "very strong Christian beliefs" as part of the reason she supports marriage equality.

Now if we can get the CA court to finish strking down Prop H8, the dominoes will finally start falling.

What's the latest word on DOMA?

Lordy, I'd love to be fully-legal and a full citizen in my lifetime. Clock's tickin'.

Then theres this in Minnesota.

Court revives gay-marriage suit

A ruling released Monday by a three-judge appellate panel in Minnesota has revived a gay-marriage lawsuit just as the battle over a state marriage amendment is getting underway.

“Big win!” Marry Me Minnesota wrote on its website shortly after the Minnesota Court of Appeals reversed part of the Benson v. Alverson case and sent it back to the lower court for reconsideration.

The decision was a victory for gay-marriage supporters because Hennepin County District Judge Mary DuFresne had dismissed the case on all counts.

“The appeals court ruling is obviously something we’re very pleased about. Now the case will go back to the lower court where we’ll have the opportunity to make our case based on the merits of the case, rather than just judicial maneuvering,” said Douglas Benson, who filed the lawsuit with his partner Duane Gajewski and two other couples.

, way behind, hell-freezing, pigs flying behind.
They'll allow potatoes to wed before gays marry in Idaho.
(Idaho is VERY pro-potato)
Pro-People? less so.

I have to admit, I'm addicted to Idaho potatoes.

If you are from Idaho your in the same boat as me being in Florida. We will just have to wait until it's passed on a National level.
