Arizona restaurant bans lawmakers in response to anti-LGBT law

An Arizona pizza place has won itself online support after posting a defiant response to the Republican-backed law legalizing discrimination against the LGBT communities.

The Huffington Post reported on Friday that Tucson-based Rocco’s Little Chicago Pizzeria put up a sign reading, “We reserve the right to refuse service to Arizona legislators” in the wake of the passage of SB 1062 on Thursday.

“A customer posted the sign to my Facebook feed, so I printed it up and laminated it,” owner Anthony Rocco DiGrazia told the Post. “The response has been overwhelming and almost all positive from across the globe. I just want to serve dinner and own and work in a place I’m proud of. Opening the door to government-sanctioned discrimination, regardless of why, is a huge step in the wrong direction.”

The caption above the photo of the sign reads, “Funny how just being decent is starting to seem radical these days.”
