Isn't it about time the militant gay lobby got credit for the collapse of the Russian economy?

Hurricane Sandy? Gay marriage is to blame.

Tornados in Oklahoma? Our fault (also the ACLU, for that Ten Commandments thing).

Floods in Mississippi? Who else could be responsible?

Russian economy collapses after Vladimir Putin takes rabidly anti-gay stance before, during, and after Winter Olympics in Sochi?

Ummmm, gee, you'd think that would be an example of our superpowers. You know, some muscle flexing on our part.

You would think at some point the Russian people could figure out their economy has collapsed. On the other hand America has a similar problem in that they have not figured out we may be on the verge of collapse. When and if it does happen some in America will resort to gay bashing that has nothing to do with the excesses of Wall Street the primary cause of our problems. People love to scapegoat other people and groups; and Russia has many causes for their current predicament which may include human rights for the LGBT community. America has its share of Human Rights abuses including a lunatic fringe willing to scapegoat groups of people for their problems directed to LGBT rights. I hope Russians do not make such a connection it would be detrimental to the LGBT community in Russia. There is a long history of purges and genocide in Russia they are capable of blaming the LGBT community on their own.

Maybe they can figure out that their politicians are to blame and will not scapegoat others.
