Nearly 50 clergy in Nebraska have pledged to perform same-sex marriages if the state’s ban on gay marriage is overturned.

The clergy members include Protestant ministers and rabbis.

The effort to organize clergy is led by Heartland Clergy for Inclusion, an interfaith group working for acceptance of the LGBT community.
