and possibly others knew this and I missed it.
Mitchtv, Tom Mitchell has died.
I am very sad about this. He was a long time member here and I chatted with him now and again on Face Book. I just now found this out and I thought you all might want to know if you did not already.
RIP Mitch. You were a very kind and patient and giving man. I will miss and remember you. Enjoy your journey.

I too had a good relationship with him.

(27,814 posts)I remember him well - we had some lively (and laugh-filled) discussions back in the day.
Thank you for posting - I'm sure many here will remember him as well.

(18,421 posts)I'm vaguely aware that there's a way to get to it. I forget what it is. I always just look for EarlG's announcement thread in the Announcements Forum introducing it.

(32,342 posts)I liked him very much. I lost another (non-DU) LGBT friend today, age 93. I hate seeing the seasoned warriors pass on.
I chatted with him about union issues too, he was a mensch. Peace, brother.

(6,366 posts)... but I just found this and am sitting here in shock. R.I.P Dude, you were one of the good ones!
And looking at the memorial page, we have lost a couple of the other really good ones too, this year.. Rowdyboy and xchrom, R.I.P the both of you.
I reckon they are all up there with Andy Stephenson and Scotty72 having a wonderful time, and several drinks, smiling down on all of us.
Cheers!

(34,109 posts)I hope things are going well for you.
It has been a tough year, they all are. When I looked at that page I remembered every one of those posters and many of them I had a story of. There are so many.
Mitch was a wonderful man. I had always hoped I could get to SF one day and take him to dinner.
Tell everyone you know, if you are still in contact with the old, ex DUers and please tell them hello from me too. Be well!

(34,109 posts)in GD or the lounge too but I was waiting to see if his sister would write back to me. She has not. Skinner will be adding his name to our memorial wall. I will wait a few more days and post in GD. I don't think he did much hanging out in the lounge. I mostly saw him in the LGBT group and on FaceBook. If anyone else thinks it should be elsewhere please let me know or post it.
