A few days ago Paul and I celebrated our 25th anniversary.
Yesterday Paul showed me why we work so well, even though we're so very different.
About 6 months ago I found a spritz bottle of body spray at work. I really liked the scent and brought it home to show Paul. He went to the store and checked to see if it was available. It was not. I forgot about it, as we are wont to do and we went about our lives.
Yesterday Paul came home and handed me a can of body spray. I asked him what it was for and he said, 'You wanted it.' I looked at him and said, "I did?" He said, 'Yes' and proceeded to pull out his wallet. In the wallet was the card that had come from the sample of body spray that I showed him months ago.
He saved the card because he knew I liked the scent and wanted to be sure to get it for me when he found it.
Yeah, it's a very small gesture but it meant so very much to me.

Because he did it for you, it was huge. It meant the world...
Gestures like that one are the glue that bond the two of you together...
May it always be so!
